Proverbs 16:7
When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh
even
his enemies to be at peace with him.
When we have conflict with people our
first response is usually associated with how to react in the
relationship. We are directed here to
turn our eyes up and seek to please the Lord in our lives. Conflict can entrap us and distract us from
what the Lord is calling us to do. We
must be careful to have our daily devotions when human conflict arises. When there is conflict with our husbands,
children or other people, we must position ourselves to hear from God and do
what pleases Him. This means not only
pleasing Him in the relationships in which we have conflict but also in all the
areas of our lives. We are not promised
we won’t have enemies but when our ways please the Lord we will at least have
peace with them.
