Knowing God - God Came in a Human Body

1 Tim 3:16

“…God was manifest in the flesh,….”

What a tremendous truth!  Our God showed Himself to us in a human body!  He wanted us to see Him.  The disciples said that they handled Him.   They touched God!  Incredible!  Our God loved us so much that He manifested, revealed, Himself in a human body.  This verse clearly reveals that Jesus Christ is God.  We are to treat Him as such.  It doesn’t matter what any other group or theologian says, God was manifested in the flesh.  Jesus was God in the flesh and we are to worship, obey and preach Jesus to others.  Today, as you walk through your day, enjoy the fellowship you have with a God who wanted to fellowship with us enough that He became flesh and lived among us.

Proverbs - Do You Know Him?

Proverbs 30:4

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

The author of this chapter goes from his own inadequacies to the complete adequacy of God.  The most important truths we can hold on to involve who we know we are and who we know God to be.  We see that the Lord is in the heights of life and the lows of life.  We see that He can handle the wind as well as the sea.  We see that He knows all boundaries and determined them.  His name is Jehovah and His Son is Jesus Christ.  How wonderful to see the wisdom of God, Jesus Christ, exalted in the midst of the proverbs even before he came in the flesh!  Truly as we learn these wise sayings, it is absolutely important that we remember that Christ Himself was made unto us the wisdom of God.

Knowing God - Jesus Loves Children

Luke 18:16

But Jesus called them unto him, and said,
Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

This is a correction that Jesus was giving to His disciples.  Ladies were bringing their babies to Jesus in order to have Him touch them.  The disciples were rebuking the women for doing this.  Jesus told His disciples that their actions were wrong and that children were very important to Him.  We learn God’s heart here about children.  Although we don’t read a lot of recorded encounters between Jesus and children, we get quite a picture of His heart in this statement.  Our Savior loves children.  He wants children to come to Him.  He wants us to facilitate easy access to Him and be that kind of people who embrace opportunities to be used to bring children to Jesus.  This is His heart.  Consider your attitude towards children.  Do you tend to push children away?  Do you see them through His eyes?  Lord, help us be used to bring the little children to You, that You might touch them and that they might know Your love and friendship.

Runny noses, high-pitched screams ,
And energy so much,
Remind us to that the little children,
Need to feel His touch.
