Proverbs 11:27
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour:
but he that seeketh mischief, it
shall come unto him.
Sometimes
we live in a non-seeking manner. We
exist with little motivation to pursue anything. This is usually due to a lack of focus and
understanding of why we were created. The Lord tells us in Eph 2:10, “For we are his workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should
walk in them.” We should wake up and
seek good. What works did God prepare for me to walk in?
If we diligently seek good we will procure favor.
This word favor implies smoother relationships than if we had not sought
good diligently. Even in our marriages the Lord tells us that
a virtuous woman will “.. do him good and
not evil all the days of her life.”(Prov 31:12) We will find much more favor in
our husband’s eyes if, rather than just withholding evil, we do good.
May the Holy Spirit lead us to those good things we can do for and to
our husbands today.
