Proverbs 21:18
The
wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the
upright.
Sometimes
we can find ourselves in a position where we look like we have done something
wrong while the wrongdoer looks like they did something right. This can be a bit frustrating. We are told in this verse that the wicked
will be a ransom for the righteous. A ransom
is something given that lets someone out of captivity. When people do the wrong thing, God is not
mocked. They will reap what they
sow. Give the Lord the time to work His
righteous judgment and the Lord will use the wickedness of the wicked to set
you free from being held captive by the wrong judgment. Their works will eventually come to light
and your righteousness will shine
through. Don’t be discouraged by the
immediate. We have a God who is, and
was, and is to come. He is working and
He will use the sins of others to prove you to be walking with Him. Don’t grow weary in well doing. In due time you will reap if you do not give
up.
