Proverbs 22:11
He
that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his
friend.
Our
heart and lips are directly linked. It
is so important that we cry out to the Lord and ask Him to create in us a clean
heart. It is so important that we ask
Him to take the coals from His holiness and touch our lips so that the words of
our mouth will bring Him honor. If we
are women who are seeking to have pure hearts and have gracious words, we will
find favor with those who are in authority over us. We will be the type of woman that a king
would want to have as his friend. We
wouldn’t be quick to judge how he rules.
When he makes a mistake, we could extend the benefit of the doubt and
speak mercy and encouragement as he seeks to remedy the situation. Oh Lord le us love pureness of heart. Oh Lord let our lips be gracious to those
with whom we speak.
