Proverbs 24:13-14
My son, eat
thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb,
which is
sweet to thy taste:
So shall
the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there
shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
The Lord is
likening the knowledge of wisdom to honey.
We are to eat it when it is good.
When we sit down and spend some time in the Word of God and it is one of
those times that the words are jumping off the book eat it. Take a longer time than budgeted. Savor the sweetness. If you receive a word of wisdom for a matter,
take the time to enjoy it. Write it on a
card if you must and mull over it. Enjoy
it like honey from the honeycomb. There
will be a reward. Your expectation will
not be cut off.
