Proverbs 10:8-9
The wise in heart will receive commandments:
but a
prating fool shall fall.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
We must be
open to receive God’s commandments - to have them come in and become part of
the fabric of our identity. If we are
quick to contend with the Lord on a matter we will fall in order that God is
proven right. Our own understanding is
not the best support to be leaning upon.
When
we don’t have anything hidden we can walk in a sure manner. If we have hidden sin, hidden agendas or
unconfessed attitudes, our steps will give us away. Let us walk in the light as He is in the
light and then have good fellowship with one another. As you and I make choices uprightly, our
paths will be straight and our steps sure.
