Proverbs 27:14
He that
blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning,
it shall be
counted a curse to him.
This is
quite an interesting observation. We
must not call people and wake them up based upon our own sleeping
schedules. We should be sensitive to the
sleep patterns of those we love. If our
friend has a new baby we should not make her phone ring early in the morning,
she won’t be blessed. If we get up early
and enjoy the dawn but our friend enjoys a later wake up, do not call or stop
by because it works around your schedule.
If your neighbors rise early and you have loud music playing at night,
it is inconsiderate and you are ruining their morning. If you start a construction project in the
dawn and wake up those who live near you it will be counted a curse. Let us not live to please ourselves. Let us not look out for our own interests but
also on the interests and schedules of others.
