Ps 46:5
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be
moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
Here we
learn that the promised presence of God results in promised positioning. The Lord was in the midst of His people in
the Old Testament and the Lord is in the midst of His people now. At one time the Lord dwelt in the tabernacle
and then the temple. Now He dwells
within those who are His adopted children by His Holy Spirit. Because He is in
the midst of us, we shall not be moved.
We shall not be displaced or uprooted.
God will help us and He will help us early; early in the trials, early
in our battles and early in our weariness.
It is His very promise of His presence that assures us of our
positioning and His promised assistance.
We must remember that when Jesus said that He would never leave us nor
forsake us, it was not a conditional promise.
It was a promise of His presence.
Do you realize that if you are in Christ, Christ is in you? Do you realize that if you feel lost, He
knows where you are? Do you realize that
if you are disoriented, He has your position?
God is in the midst of you dear saint.
You shall not be moved. He will
help you speedily!
