Jer 1:10
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root
out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to
plant.
The Lord Positions For Purposes
The Lord is
speaking to Jeremiah about His purposes for Jeremiah’s life. The Lord begins by pointing out that the Lord
has set
Jeremiah in a position of influence.
Jeremiah did not seek this or put himself there. The Lord did.
The Lord set him over all these nations and kingdoms. He set him there for reasons. These reasons are given to Jeremiah after the
Lord declares his position. One of the
best ways we can discover what the Lord wants to do through us is to realize
where He has put us. He generally places
us in a position in order to carry out His purposes. What positions do you find yourself in
today? Perhaps you could take some time
today and jot these down. This might
help you better discover the details of your job description at this point in
your life. The Lord is faithful to put
us in the places in which He has works for us to do.
