Proverbs 14:24
The crown of the wise is their riches:
but the foolishness of fools is folly.
Wisdom helps us financially. Wisdom tells us when to work and when to
rest. Wisdom tells us when to save and
when to spend. Wisdom tells us when to
get to bed so we will be better employees and more productive. Wisdom tells us not to spend and consume so
much. There is a correlation between
walking in wisdom and having financial integrity. Foolishness is equated with reckless spending
and self-centered decisions. Foolishness
tells the employee that the expectations of her employer are unreasonable. Foolishness tells the mother that her needs
are to be first. Foolishness tells us to
spend because we deserve it. Foolishness
tells us to accumulate things to make us feel like we are worth something. Foolishness tells us to put off the tasks
that need to be done and do the things we want to do. Sisters, let us be sensitive to the voice of
wisdom and shun the voice of foolishness.
We want to be assured that if our financial status goes one way or
another, our consciences are clear of any sort of wrong doing.
