Proverbs 22:24-25
Make
no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to
thy soul.
This
scripture is warning us who not to have as a close friend. We must not be hanging out with someone who
is given to anger and blow ups. The Lord
warns us that we could end up learning from them and becoming like them. Truly, bad company corrupts good morals. It is so important that we choose friends
that have ways we want to learn. An
angry person is usually self-centered and full of judgment. We can love these people but pace ourselves
with them. If you are married to an
angry husband, be cautious. Love him but
be careful not to learn his ways. It
will be a snare for your personality. You
will want to make sure that you have friends that are full of joy and
gratefulness to compensate for your husband’s disposition. If you are an angry woman, you might notice
friendships could be a bit scarce in your life.
Repent and seek to be a peacemaker rather than a woman given to wrath.
