Psalm 5:1
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
The Lord Hears Our Thoughts
The Lord listens to our spoken words and takes what we think about very seriously. This verse reveals to us that when we use words to talk to the Lord about anything, He really takes it in and is listening. The word ‘consider’ here means to understand or perceive. Sometimes we can’t put into words exactly what we want to say but we are assured here that God understands our thoughts and hears our words. He is a God who is familiar with the way we think AND the way we express ourselves. This should greatly encourage us to continue to pray to Him with our words and think on things with a confidence He is hearing our thoughts as well.
