Proverbs 29:25
The fear of
man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
A snare is
a trap set to catch prey. It is intended
to trap the prey for the kill or abduction.
When we have the fear of man we can get entangled and trapped. When we are concerned about pleasing people
we will not be able to walk freely in what God wants us to do. The opposite of the fear of man is putting
our trust in the Lord. We need to trust the Lord and not worry about what other
people think so that we can be free to make the progress God has for us. Oh Lord, take away the fear of man from us
that we might not be snared but be free to follow you.
