40:5
Many, O Lord my God, are thy
wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward:
they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of
them, they are more than can be numbered.
Too High To Count
Here
the psalmist is praising the Lord. He is
telling the Lord how many wonderful works He has done. He is considering all of the thoughts that
the Lord has towards Him. He comes to
the conclusion that the wonderful works and thoughts that God has towards Him
were more than He could count. What a
wonderful truth. Even if we were to have
actually recognized and kept record of all God has done for us, there would be
too many for us to count. The thoughts
He has towards us are so many that we couldn’t count them. What love the Lord has for us. What attention the Lord gives us. Don’t feel isolated or neglected. He loves you, thinks about you and does
wonderful works.
