Proverbs 19:3
The
foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lord.
Foolishness
is described as many things in the book of proverbs. Tearing our homes down, venting all of our
feelings and being quick to wrath are a few of these foolish attributes. When we are not seeking God’s wisdom on a
matter we will lean towards being foolish.
This will cause our way, our path to be twisted and much less straight
than the Lord desires it to be. A curvy,
twisted, perverted way is difficult to navigate and takes much effort to wind
our way on it. The way of wisdom is one
that is direct and focused. Wise choices
allow our feet to be established and we can actually look around and enjoy the
scenery rather than having to keep looking at each step to be sure that we are
safe. Our hearts must not fret against
the Lord but trust that He loves us and His ways are good for us. The paths He has for us are clear and safe. Let us be women who seek Him on each matter
and see each step directed in a safe way.
