59:1
Deliver me from mine enemies,
O my God: defend me from them that rise up
against me.
The Lord Delivers and Defends
Our
God is to be called upon when people rise up against us. He wants to deliver us and He wants to defend
us. Usually people come against us due
to the stirring up by our adversary. He
is the accuser of our brethren and he loves division and discord. The battle is not ours. We are not to try and get out of the way of
vain and empty accusations. We are to
stay focused on what the Lord would have us exert energy on and leave the
defending and delivering to Him. He has
the ability and the love to defend us and He has the strategies and resources
to deliver us. We mustn’t fear what man
can do to us. If God is for us, who can
be against us?
