Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a
reproach to any people.
A nation is made up of
individuals. A family is made up of
individuals. The stability of a
structure is established by the integrity of the components within in it. When individuals seek to live lives that
please the Lord, the righteousness will exalt whatever entity they find
themselves a part of. To change the
direction of a nation, the individuals must change direction first. If we want our marriages and our families to
stand strong we must focus on the individuals first. We must pray for each child, for ourselves
and for our husbands. We must wash our
children in the water of the Word, upholding God’s law as the ultimate standard
for all aspects of life. When
individuals begin to follow the Lord and seek to honor Him, the entire family
will begin to rise above the common statistics facing most families today. Before we complain about our family, let us
fight for each member with spiritual weapons.
“…Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and
terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your
wives, and your houses.” (Neh 4:14)
