Our soul waiteth for the LORD:
he is our help and our shield.
The
Lord is Our Help
The Lord is
our help because He knows we need it.
Have you ever tried to lift something and it was just too heavy or
awkward for you to lift? We know we need
to call on the name of someone who is able to help us lift it. We don’t call on our two-year-old. We don’t call out to our relative in another
city. We call on the name of someone who
is able to help – someone who is near and someone who is able. The Lord is able to help. Here, He is called ‘our help’. Don’t be so stubborn and self-reliant. He is your help today.
Ask Him to
help and watch the unique and loving ways He proves Himself to you.
