Proverbs 15:26
The
thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD:
but
the words of the pure are pleasant words.
The thoughts of the wicked are an
abomination to the Lord. An abomination
is something that is absolutely repulsive and offensive. Wicked people think up wicked things. These thoughts are sometimes developed into
screenplays, song lyrics, scripts and advertisements. Pornographic photo shoots are thought out by
the wicked. Burglaries and murders are
thought out by the wicked. These are an
abomination to the Lord. We should
guard ourselves from the input of these thoughts, having discretion regarding
what we fill our minds with. We should
rather have the words of the pure coming into our minds and filling our lives
with pleasant things. Consider the input
in our lives. Do we have the thoughts of
the wicked influencing our perspective or the words of the pure?
