Proverbs 21:22
A
wise man scaleth the city of the mighty,
and
casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
To
be the wise women that the Lord wants us to be we must never approach any
walled cities in our lives or relationships in haste. We must scale the city. This means going around the problem seeking
the Lord to show us where we might attack the problems and find the strength of
the confidence thereof. We must not go
with our first instinct in warfare but approach our Commander and Chief – Jesus
Christ for a total run down on what we are facing and what approach He deems
the most penetrating. Sometimes it may
take fasting or seeking counsel in order to pull down strongholds. Usually something we may feel bound by has
some sort of false confidence within it.
We need the Holy Spirit to illuminate this and show us how to take the
sword of truth to the false confidence found there. We must wage a good warfare in the Spirit and
know that our God is mighty in battle.
Let us be women who surround a situation in prayer daily, if not more,
that needs to be conquered. As we scale
these ‘cities’ we will see the King of Kings conquer and His will done on earth
as it is in heaven.
