Josh 23:3
And ye
have seen all that the Lord your God hath done unto all these nations because
of you; for the Lord your God is he that hath fought for you.
Joshua was
dying and he gathered the leaders of Israel that had been with him for a
while. He reminds them of all that the
Lord had done. He tells them that they
have seen all that He has done BECAUSE of them.
Our God not only fights battles because He is a warrior and purposes but
also He is a God who fights our enemies BECAUSE of us. He loves us and He is most interested in our
lot in life. Because of us, Jesus died
on the cross. God is complete without
us. He didn’t need to atone for sin in
order to fulfill anything lacking in Him.
Christ died BECAUSE of us. Our
God actually does things BECAUSE of us.
Thank You, Lord, that I matter to You and that Your love is a love that
I can see in deed and in truth._
