Proverbs - Modeling After the World

Proverbs 7:22-27

 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter,
or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare,
and knoweth not that it is for his life.
 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
 For she hath cast down many wounded:
 yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

                                                                        The world’s esteem of the provocative, seductive woman is the antithesis of God’s view of her.  People are wounded from sexual sin and strong men are actually slain by such encounters.  Sexual promiscuity is the way to hell.  May we as Christian women reject all such suggestions to model ourselves after this world.  “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. (1 Tim 2:9‑10)
