Isa
5:4
What
could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it?
The
Lord tells us in Isaiah chapter five that He has put a hedge around us, a
winepress in our lives, a good vine that is planted, a watchtower in our midst
and that “..He expected it to bring forth good grapes,..” He tells us that He
looked at the vineyard and saw that it brought forth wild, sour grapes. He then states this statement. He is basically telling us that He has done
everything that is needed in our lives that we would bring forth fruit. It is not the Lord’s fault that our lives may
be producing sour grapes. He has given
us every spiritual blessing. He has put
a tower in the midst. He has given us
the true vine – Jesus. Let’s thank Him
today for all He has given us and seek to use the resources, gifts and
provision He has put in our lives to bring forth the fruit that glorifies the
Father.
