Ps
105:5
Remember his marvellous works that he hath
done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
The Lord’s works
are described as marvelous here. This
phrase ‘marvellous works’ is speaking of works that are too difficult for us
and to be absolutely in awe of what the Lord has done that we could NEVER have
done. We are commanded to remember these
things. When we remember these things we
can approach each new situation that is far too much for us with a confidence
that it is not too difficult for Him.
The Lord will often give us commands in a situation that He knows we CAN
do. Deut 30:11-12 says, “For
this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor
is it far off.” The things He
asks us to do in a situation are things we can do with His power. He will do those things that we CANNOT
do. Let us be in a place where we are
absolutely convinced that nothing is impossible with God. Let us remember His marvelous works. Let us marvel at them, but let us do those
things He has asked us to do with great diligence seeking to do our part and
showing Him that we love Him because we keep His commandments.
