Knowing God - He Wants to Speak Specifically to You

Josh 9:14

And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord.

Joshua and his men were faced with some people who said they were from a faraway land.  These men showed physical things like; moldy bread, old wine skins and worn out shoes to prove they were not a nearing city.  Joshua and his men went by what they saw.  They did not ask counsel at the mouth of the Lord.  Do you know that the Lord has counsel in His mouth for you and your situation?  No matter how logical things may look or how things are lining up we must ask the Lord’s counsel because He has it stored up for the righteous.  It would behoove us to remember that our God is called Wonderful Counselor.  We must begin to connect with Him in a way that allows us to listen to and embrace all He has to say.  The Lord Jesus is called the Word made flesh.  He wants to speak to us.  He wants to speak to you specifically concerning that situation that you think you have already figured out.  Stop.  Ask for counsel at the mouth of the Lord.
