Knowing God - Jesus is God

Gal 1:1

                                   

 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Jesus Christ made Paul an apostle.  Jesus Christ is alive and He makes us what He wants us to be for His glory.  Paul knew that his calling was not rooted in personal choice or the choices of others but by Jesus Christ Himself.  If Jesus weren't God, He wouldn't be calling people and making people into the servants He would want them to be.  Jesus Christ is to be obeyed, worshiped and submitted to.  God, the Son – Jesus and God the Father – the Father, concurred in Paul’s calling.  They were in agreement because they are one.  Our Jesus is not just a messenger or prophet.  He is the One who calls us and commissions us alongside the Father – equal in essence.  We must honor the Son as we honor the Father.  If we do not have the Son we do not have the Father.
