Proverbs 22:10
Cast
out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall
cease.
A
scorner creates so much contention. They
are always putting down, taking the other side and fighting for their own
opinions. Within our sinful nature we
all have this scorner. Sometimes this
scorner fights with us. He tells us that
we cannot live for the Lord. He tells us
we will never change. He challenges
whether we have heard from the Lord and how we are ALWAYS doing this and NEVER
doing that. We would do well to cast
this scorner out so that the inner strife and reproach will cease. We should ignore this scorner and by the
truth of God’s Word, speak the truth in the inner man drowning out the scorner
and having the contention cease. Sister,
do not allow this scorner to take up permanent residence in your heart of
hearts. Cast him out!
